Whenever I apply my makeup (daycreme, primer, foundation, concealer and setting powder) I have the problem that whenever I put on my foundation, my cheeks and my forehead tend to get dry which makes my makeup look unnatural. As a temporary solution, I now spray my makeup fixation spray on the same brush I use to set my makeup and dab it on my face. Any other solutions?

What's your skin care routine at the moment?

I would just super moisturize the places you know you get dry. I also heard something about mixing in a drop or two of oil to make it less cakey, maybe you could look into something like that

I use my face cleanser first, then I use my tonic and then my nightcreme. I also use a mask about two times a week and I have a cleansing brush that I use three times a week.

I think you could spray your actual face with the spray you're using on your brush. I know that Urban decay makes setting sprays. I have the all nighter one, it really helps to set my face and take away that powdery look. All the dry patches on my face, if I have any, are less visible after using the spray

I also use it after my whole look is complete but it's still visible. Only close up though but still.

Do you own MAC fix +?
it's basically to get the whole powerdy look gone, the UD all nighter setting spray doesn't do that.

My UD setting spray does the job of taking away the powdery look! What is your skintype? If it's dry, I wouldn't powder it, because that creates the texture that accentuates dry areas. Also, it could be the foundation, maybe you're applying too much in areas that don't need it. Or using the wrong type of foundation for your skin. Do you moisturize at night? Exfoliate? What type of primer is it? Is the primer and foundation compatible?
There could be a lot of factors as to why it's doing so.

I don't own any Mac products, my fixing spray is from MUA.

I have a combined skin, my cheeks and forehead are a little dry sometimes while my t-zone is oily. I could be using the wrong foundation, I use Maybelline dream tone at the moment but I'll be using my new Rimmel lasting finish when I finish the Maybelline.
I use a hydrating nightcreme every night so I moisturize enough. The primer I use is from Catrice for invisible lines and pores.

Exfoliate, and massage the day cream in. Also setting a skin routine for night will be great :) get lot of water during the day because your skin might get dehydrated. If you are suffering from acne and there are dry patches forming around the pimples, don't peel it off! It's the process of healing it. Also, might changing the primer or foundation. What skin type are you? Choose your primer and foundation for your complexion! Some products might dry you out. Especially acne products dry your skin :)

I don't have acne but I do have some clogged pores so I use products to get rid of them.

You should look into a toner, moisturizing one, I love the Thayers toners they sell them at whole foods
& make sure the stuff you are using on your skin doesn't have a lot of alcohol

Sometimes with a certain foundation depending on your skin type will cling to your dry spots. I notice this with the MUFE hd when I apply with a brush. I don't know why lol but when I apply it with beauty blender it looks hot dog amazing :) oh and yeah I spray with UD setting spray. But also they have this UD vitamin b6 spray will give you the hydration you need after you apply you could try that.
