So, I seen somebody post in a makeup group that they put on a facial primer, then foundation powder, apply the foundation, then another round of powder. Anybody?? I want to know if this works.

I feel like it would make your face really cakey. But there isn't a harm in trying and seeing what works for your skin.

It works wonders if you have oily skin but I'd steer clear of it if you aren't oily(:

What foundation are they referring to? There are foundations that need to be layered for coverage. I do just that with my RCMA foundation and it does not appear cakey nor heavy.

It is true indeed and is an old makeup trick that is coming back to light. If you Google search the Goss foundation method he has a video explaining why a d how to pull it off without looking cakey. It really does depend on the foundation and powder combo though because some will work beautifully while others don't work out when applied in that order at all.

I use NARS sheer glow, Tarte Clay or Estée Lauder double wear, & those are mostly full coverage

Goss says it works best with a loose powder and a med - full coverage foundation, not a tinted moisturizer or bb cream though.
