"Birthday" Haul And Thoughts :)

So my birthday is on the 7th, and my cousins was last week but she'll be in Vegas for mine, so my family decided to throw a mashed up birthday dinner for both of us yesterday.
Anyway just wanted to share my little haul and thoughts, birthday gifts and stuff I bought with money from such gifts lol. And this isn't even my real birthday haul ;) no just kidding. My sister is taking me clothes shopping and my mom is buying me concert tickets and hair dye lol. So likely I'll be getting no more beauty "gifts". 😋

- I got beautiful rainbow roses from my second cousin, she bought my cousin white ones because she's "sweet and innocent" and mine are rainbow because I'm "always unique, and colorful in personality and hair" lol
- my grandmother got me the formula x infinite ombre nail kit. I used it last night and it's definitely quality. I have a lot of kits from formula x and I honestly just keep getting blown away. You should look up the videos on formula x's YouTube. The looks are beautiful. I attempted the blue and red one, but it'll definitely take practice. And don't mind the photo, I did them last night and didn't clean them up cause I'm lazy lol.
- she also got me the smashbox full exposure mini palette. I'm not so impressed with this one and I might take it back. I used it today and it was "meh" at best. I looove the colors, my mom had gotten the full palette for Christmas last year and I returned it since I had to many similar shades, and the few metallicy colors that I liked in it weren't worth it. It also had tons of fallout, but lacked pigment. The mini version has literally all the colors I loved in the full one, but the pigment is horrid. There's zero fallout, but I felt like I had to scrape the colors with my brushes to get any real pigmentation on my lids. I'm going to test it out the next few days and see if maybe it was just a technique thing, but I don't have high hopes.
- since she went to sephora and her birthday was the first week of may, they signed her up and got the birthday gift with the nars lip pencils. She's not a lipstick girl so she included it in my gift. I used the red one today and Oh my goddddddd they are lovely. Super pigmented and not drying. They're easy to apply and surprisingly they don't make it hard to make nice clean lines like some crayon lipsticks. I wore it all day, and even had a poutine and drinks and it didn't smudge at all. Included a picture :)
- since I got $60 I decided to treat myself with some of it, and went to sephora after an appointment today. I went to sephora today and so I got another birthday gift lipsticks for me lol.
- kat von d brow tattoo pen in medium brown. I haven't tried this on my brows yet, but I'm super excited about it. I love the tattoo liner and have used it on my brows for character type looks. I'm hoping it's not to warm toned, I tried it in store on my hand and it didn't look overly warm or cool. But trying it on my hand I was able to make realistic looking brows, and since I have thick brows I just need to brush some "hairs" into the sparse areas. Hopefully this turns into a holy grail. I love my aquabrow, but this seems like it'll be super quick.
- sephora kiss kit - includes sephora super nourishing lip bam and the super smoothing lip butter. My lips have been super dry and cracked lately, its been very dry in my city. It's really just a rebuy, I've used both and loved them. It's really great and moisturizing. If you're in the market for a new lip balm I suggest this. :)

Have you guys used any of these? I'm super excited to try out new nail art, and new brow stuff lol! Hopefully the smashbox isn't a total flop.

Well happy early birthday to you! Everything you got looks quite lovely you're very blessed. Try and scratch off the top layer of the mini exposure pallete as sometimes it develops a film and the pigment lays underneath

Lol thank you girls! I'm so happy. My birthdays are always blessed. I have a large family, but it also makes me broke at random points around the year for theirs lol. But lovely nonetheless.

And brittany I'll try that, I felt like I was swiping and patting my brush into each color 50 times to get any pigment to show for like the smallest bit of the inner corner of my eye. It took me nearly an hour to get my makeup done, which usually takes like 10-20 min. And I didn't do anything special, nude on the lid, matte brown in the crease, and bright Shiney metallic color on the inner color. But it took so long and didn't look great. But I'll definitely try scraping a bit off the top layer and see if I can get a nicer payoff.

Liv - I'd definitely recommend them even after one use. But if your birthday is coming up I'd wait, I think these will last a long time. They have lots of color in it it seems!

Lol Shanae it was like the most popular birthday in my elementary school. There were 8 of us with the same birthday. 😒

It's going to change again soon. Hopefully before this weekend if I can fade the pink and green enough, and relying on my stylist to have time to do my roots. Their horrid, she's been so busy and I only trust her lol. But I was hoping to do some rainbow dip dye this weekend, maybe silver to rainbow or just one solid color to rainbow pieces, depending how faded I can get it lol. Pride is from the 6th to the 13th so yknow, why not go crazy for it. It's my 18th so first time I get to go to bars and during pride they give out prizes and awards for rainbownesss lol. Plus I might be going to the pride ball with a friend on the 11th. And pretty rainbow hair would be cool. :)

It's weird how many people share birthdays. I get it on a scientific level, only 365 days so really people are going to share, but it's still so weird lol.
