Alrighttttttt so a beauty blender cost sgd 30 (here in Singapore) and I would like to know the quality of it and if it's really worth purchasing. Some say it's better to get a normal cosmetic sponge but idkkkk there's so much hype about it! Need some help here?!

I personally love my beauty blender, I think it's definitely worth it

I honestly don't like it, I think a good quality brush is worth the money more. I've found that it just soaks up a lot of product and takes a lot more to cover my face. It's good for blending out concealer but in my opinion it doesn't make enough of a difference or cut down the time enough to justify it. I also feel like they will never be completely clean but that's just me being fussy!

I fell for the hype and most recently purchased my second one. I only have one foundation that works best with it and that is the only reason why I purchased it. Other than that if it wasn't for that particular foundation (Dior Star) I would've never purchased it. I did discover it works great at blending in my concealer...especially when I'm in a hurry (Maybelline FitMe concealer).

There are several great dupes on Amazon that feel exactly like the beauty blender does.

The dupes on Amazon/eBay don't compare to a beauty blender at ALL.
especially since they are made out latex which makes them so stiff.
beauty blenders aren't made out of latex that's why that have that bounce.

I agree the Real Techniques is great..as I own both. Shelley brings up an excellent point. Your foundation really plays a role in what application is best. Laura Mercier often advocates using fingers, for example. I don't think it pairs well, for me, with cream, whipped or mousse foundations. I use one for my second layer, however, with my MUFE Face and Body only on days when I'm building to a medium foundation. For my heavier, creamy foundations, I like a stippling brush.

I fell into the hype, and it seems that the knock off ones give me the same result, the BB is just a tiny bit more soft and enjoyable to apply. Personally I won't be repurchasing because I get the same with the others. I have a real techniques sitting in my drawer for when it's finally time to toss my BB , but it takes so much longer to use it compared to my fingers or a brush, so I only use it on special occasions or weekends.

I personally don't own a beauty blender but from a lot of people online or my friends had said it worlds great it can blend your concealer it foundation and apply powder, I don't know if you want to spend your money on it but maybe give it a try 😁😁
