In just over a month I'm having an 18th birthday party and have no idea what to wear. It's going to be in a function room so could get quite warm. One issue is I won't have to long to get ready as I have to work (finish work at 6 party starts at 8). Any recommendations on dress/hair/makeup would be appreciated. I have a pale complexion with greenie eyes, gingery-brown longish hair (not too helpful sorry). Thankyou in advance.

You sound like you look like me! I'm 18 in 10 months :) I love blues on me as they work well with my hair, complexion and eye colour. I'll post a few examples of dresses, hair and makeup that look good on me, which I'm sure you can translate to yourself :)

Would also work well with silver, however I feel golds work better with green eyes :)

Pinks, purples and coppers make green eyes pop, however I'd go lightly with the purples and pinks as they may clash with your hair. Using it to smoke out the bottom lashline would look beautiful :)

Thankyou, I've actually been looking at blue dresses, just need to try and find something. I tend to wear my hair half up half down so I'll have a go at the Dutch braid.

I got a blue skater dress from Boohoo, it was really cheap and so comfy. TKMaxx has tons of lovely but cheap dresses too at the moment :)
