You might be allergic to salicylic acid. Aveeno broke me out bad!

Diet, not enough exercise, genetics, & it could come with aging. I don't mean to say that you're an unhealthy eater or anything!

You are using too many products containing active ingredients and with eczema as well...its not a great combo. Though you have been using these products for awhile and initially they didn't cause you any grief sometimes our skin experiences a delayed reaction to products...meaning it doesn't react till maybe weeks or months later down the line. Whenever I experience major skin irritation I go back to basics. Basic cleanser, toner and moisturizer that does not contain any active ingredients until my skin stabilizes itself. The products you are using are irritants for your eczema...use cleansers that are fragrance free as well as your moisturizer. Look at moisturizers that contain a natural oil like shea butter or hyaluronic acid to lock in moisture. Cleanser...Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser. Salicylic acid, glycolic and one other one that I can't remember is absolutely a no no for those dealing with eczema. Preservatives such as methlyparben is an irritant as well. And whatever you use...make sure its fragrance free.

It also helps if you remove ALL MAKEUP and make sure to get all of the soap/lotion/product off. One DIY thing you could do is put toothpaste on the really bad spots and let it sit overnight on your face. In the morning washing it off and wash your face and it should help with redness.

@Cali...Janelle has eczema...toothpaste would only cause major issue on top of what she is already dealing with in the form of a flare-up.

Not only that but I have very dry skin and dermatitis and it doesn't make either worse.

I always used products like aveeno, st Ives, and neutrogena until one day it stopped working for me. My face began to flare up. I had cystic pimples all over my face. I had to get on medication it was so bad. But to keep my face at bay now? I make sure I use things on my face with not a lot of ingredients.. The face wash I use is from trader joes, it's their exfoliating wash. I stay away from things with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide or anything that says helps clear skin.. they can be so irritating especially to acne prone skin. Also, I have found the secret in raw honey. It's amazing. I use it as a face wash in the mornings and it really keeps skin clear without harming. It's amazing. I've noticed a huge difference.

My skin got bad again last year... I decide to read how to clear skin naturally and raw honey was it. I bought some raw honey, gauze strips, and bandaids. At night, I would cover the parts of my face that had the cysts and rubbed the honey.. Then I got the gauze dipped in warm water, wrung it out and placed it on the spots.
, then use bandaids to seal them on. Sounds crazy, but in the morning I saw a difference. I did it every night and they did go away.
