Is there anyone who just does not wash their face? Or at the least, only water?

No, I do a full skincare routine every day. I'm an esthetician and know how important it is to have a good skin care routine and properly take care of your skin while using the correct products for your skin and not washing your face or just water doesn't cut it.

I know a few ladies here who do it? It's been a topic. I personally think that there are more benefits to finding the right products for your skin than forgoing them at all. Especially if you use sunscreen everyday, that will need to be take. Off the surface of your skin more than what water will be able to do.

I used not to do it, until 2 years ago. You cannot imagine how my skin has improved since then.

With all the toxins and sebum that comes to the surface of one's skin overnight due to the skin renewal it boggles my mind that some people follow that skincare philosophy. While some skins may be able to handle it I know mine wouldn't...especially since my cell turnover rate started slowing down when I saw 35. Now at 41 I'm needing gentle exfoliation almost once a day. If I skip one day of cleansing my face I'm guranteed a zit or two screaming "hello".

I agree Shelley! I had no idea people were actually doing this! At least I won't be shocked, who knows my next client may be one of them. Even if ones skin doesn't react with immediate signs of an issue (which is quite possibly considering all the free radicals our skin is exposed to) it doesn't mean your skin is healthy, I can't imagine any reason to do that. it makes me cringe! lol interesting question I'm happy I now learned people actually do this

I never got the don't wash your face thing so don't wash your body or your hair then lol please skincare is a must if your a bare minimum type of person thats fine but cleanse, moisturize and protect.if you want to keep a youthful look well into your 50s if you don't do some form of exfoliating your skin will look up to 15 years older than someone who had a good routine from when they were young now who wants that

Oops, Shelley and Sarah - I have never used an exfoliant! I do use a cleanser & toner morning and evening and I do wash my face, using warm water but no soap. So far I have been fairly lucky with just a few lines (now 70). I was sent a beautiful gift just before Christmas 2014 - a box of Monsia Advanced Skin Renewal System. My skin has really taken to this product. I think it is the shea butter ingredient that my skin particularly loves.
Sarah, I am originally from the Far East, do you think ethnicity as well as genes have something to do with how skin ages? My friends here in the UK who are from around the Caribbean have really beautiful skin whilst my SIL who is Scottish suffers from broken veins and old looking skin and she is younger than me.
