I've heard good things about it. Has anyone actually tried it for acne? I've been using tea tree oil for my acne and its been...eh.
How much do you use?
thanks!

As far as I know jojoba oil isn't used for treating acne. It's a good moisturizer and it doesn't clog pores. People with oily skin like to use it because it helps reduce shine and you become less oily over time.

Sorry I don't have an answer but I'm curious about the oil. Shauna, do you dilute it at all?

I agree with Shaun's. The tea tree is suppose to really help with acne, are you using pure tea tree that's diluted or an product that contains it?

The Hollywood beauty brand of tea tree oil has a bunch of other ingredients in it. You might want to try pure tea tree oil instead for better results.

I do not dilute jojoba oil, but you need to use it sparingly so you don't get greasy. Maybe use like 4-5 drops. It's very gentle and shouldn't make you break out plus it lets your skin breathe. As for tea tree oil it can definitely burn the skin and make you very sensitive if used in it's pure form. I agree you will want to use a pure tea tree oil and dilute it 50% with water. You may also want to check out The Body Shops Tea Tree Line which is great for acne and they also make a tea tree oil blemish stick which I heard works great.

Christin I use Australian Tea Tree Oil. I use a cotton wool bud and gently apply to the spot. Your query about jojoba oil made me look on Google and I found http://www.facingacne.com/jojoba-oil-treat-acne/ which may or may not be of interest to you. I was interested because my day moisturizing cream is from Monsia Skincare and one of the ingredients is jojoba esters. Hope this helps you.

No you simply pat it on your skin. You can my it in any health food stores, whole foods sells it. It is not exactly and "oil" but more like a wax that is very similar to the sebum that our skin produces. I have not used it but I read about it. Some articles say it is great for skin, others say it can cause acne. I think you have to try to see if your skin likes it or not.
