I've been suffering from mild acne for a little over a year now. my skin has cleared up since having been prescribed tretinoin cream & a benzoyl peroxide treatment from my doctor last summer, but I still get the occasional pimples. however, I've been noticing my pores are a lot larger & my skin overall has weird texture... like I can see bumps & lines in certain lighting. it's hard to explain, but is this from acne scarring? I'm also wondering if this is caused by wearing a lot of make up or failing to take off my make up before bed every once in a great while? also, if you have any tips or product suggestions, please let me know! I'm desperate for clear, flawless-looking skin 😁 xo.

Unfortunately your pores can come from genes and can't make them smaller physically, there are tricks involving makeup to make them look smaller. Also makeup isn't designed to sink into the skin, so I doubt your skin problems come from not taking it off a few times. Pores can look larger if they're clogged, so I recommend pore strips, I absolutely love them, and you can physically see results when you take them off, kinda gross but at least it works. Moisturizers can also clog pores so you should talk to someone about using the right one. Also talk to a doctor about something to use for scarring. I've heard dermalogica is a good brand but it's slightly expensive.

I normally don't have many breakouts but I have fairly noticeable pores, so what I've found that helps me to reduce the visibility of them is that after I wash my face using warm water, rinse with some cold water. Heat makes things expands and rinsing with cold should generally counteract this. (Works for me, good luck to you)

I'm very critical of myself & I really need to work on that lol but thank you all! I exercise & drink plenty of water & eat a variety of healthy foods, I just think it's probably some scarring & I'll try some of your tips 😊 thanks xo.
