Is it harder to maintain? can pixie cuts be done with fine hair? I'm thinking of chopping all mine off and starting fresh but I know nothing about short hair.

It's worse for thick curly /wavy hair xx

Pixie cuts can be done on any type of hair. I have fine hair but it's really thick and I had a pixie cut for three years.

I also have curly hair so it's not impossible

The trick is all in the style! It can work for any hair type but your style has to fit your face as well as the texture of your hair. For me, a pixie basically styles itself everyday so it's much easier than longer hair

I have crazy thin, almost baby-fine hair, (seriously) you can see EVERY scissor cut that isn't perfectly blended. I have learned that the grown-out pixie-bob is better for my hair just because I don't have the bulk to get away with a true pixie cut. Just talk to your stylist, they will know your hair better than we will, and can advise you best.

There is always a perfect short haircut for any person. You must take face shape, and hair texture in mind. It can be higher maintenance depending on the style you are looking for. Consult with your stylist and let he/she know what your goals are and your fears.

^ Lol having long hair isn't "true beauty of a women"
If you want to cut your hair short then do it.
It is your decision

I'm sorry the fact that your comment about long hair being the best and true beauty of a woman is hilarious because it's so wrong.

When you do a pixie cut, remember, it's sooooo difficult to grow it out. I had one and loved it but after I while I wanted to let it grow again and at some point it's not pretty, it's like half over your ears, your neckhair grows faster so you have to go to the hairdresser everymonth for a cut. It took me 6 months before my hair was the same lenght everywhere and it was still short.

It looks like I'm late to the party, but I just wanted to chime in and say it soesn't need to be dramatic to grow it out! Bobby pins are your best friends in this occasion, as well as multiple headbands and french braiding skills. You get to be creative!

Breeze your hair is gorgeous it makes me want to cut mine, especially that black and white photo of you. I think I'm a bit more at peace with what I have after a few days thinking about it
