Make sure to mosturize. oily skin or not. I have very oily skin and it helps and a good cleanser. right now I'm using a philosophy cleanser. its basically a scrub idr the name but it works sooo nice. and for make up I've been using it cosmetics cc cream. that stuff is seriously amazing!! it stays on the whole day! I also use blotting sheets which help if I do get oily.

I previously had oily skin and now I use benzoyl peroxide because of my acne an it now have pretty normal skin... Almost. If you have oily skin during the day you can use a sheet of toilet paper to dab your face with it works great.😋

Oily skin occurs when the sebaceous glands produce more oil than usual, leading to an imbalance in your system. Some excessive oil production is hereditary, but other factors that can lead to oily skin are stress, hormonal shifts, high humidity, travel, pollution, certain cosmetic products, birth control pills, poor diet, and improper skin care. Be sure you're only washing your face in the morning and before you sleep. Washing your face too often prompts the sebaceous glands to produce even more oil. The oil in your face (technically known as sebum) is there because it lubricates and protects your skin. When you wash your face too often, your glands respond by producing more oil to protect it. Cold or hot water dries up your skin so it is important that you use neutral lukewarm water to rinse off any facial cleansers. There are lots of products out there specifically for oily skin so look around and read labels, if you use a line specifically made for oily skin it will help reduce the problem even if it is gentle and the ingredients aren't super active. I recommend trying diluted witch hazel as a toner as well, it has antibacterial properties and also absorbs some of the excess sebum on your skin. To avoid your skin looking oily throughout the daily, try a mattefying face cream (murad has one which works awesome) or any face cream as long as it is oil free. Even though you have oily skin you still want to be sure to moisturize to restore your moisture barrier.
