I'm 17 years old and I really need your help. I have been transitioning for the past 7 months.(to natural curly hair type 3c )
And I'm tired of my damaged hair. I hate being stuck with 2 different types of hair. Ireally don't know if I should do the big chop or not. Please heelllllp me

I wouldn't do a big cut as your hair already looks short as it is I don't thin it looks bad just try some up do's for a while :)

Seeing that most of your hair is straight I'd cut 3 inches off. No real need for a big chop! Don't use any heat, use a blow dryer on low heat n diffuse it. Definitely do a coconut mask 2-3xs a week. I went through the same thing you are. Use Shea moisture to regain the curl definition. I like the curl enhancing smoothie n the gel souffle. If you need any help, feel free to contact me!

I'm transitioning too! Your current length is my goal length before I cut my hair. Right now it's in a protective until then. I would cut it or do protective styles to get the length where you're 100% ready
