Mac Pro long wear is better for normal to oily skin in my opinion, I would also suggest the nars creamy concealer like jacqlyn suggested :)

Hi guys I too am looking for a full coverage concealer for my dry skin however I have a problem with how long products last on me nothing seems to really adhere to my skin which of the ones mentioned would be the most longwearing?? Thanks for the help!

Okay thanks 😄what is your preferred way of applying it?

I hated the Estée DB concealer, and I was so excited for it because I have the corresponding foundation :( I have horribly dry skin and finding full coverage concealers that don't make me look like The Thing from fantastic 4 at the end of the day is a challenge for sure so here's what I found works for me

For eyes:
•Benefit fake up- not EXTREME coverage but will definitely cover everything you need, it has pigment in the middle and a vitamin e layer surrounding it which really helps replenish the skin as it conceals I actually use it on scabs as well because it helps smooth the surface a bit while concealing.
•maybelline fit me- I definitely love this though it does crease slightly throughout the day it is a cheap alternative and of course always worth a go! Works great when lightly set with the MUFE translucent powder
•Nars creamy radiant concealer- so brightening and really counteracts the look of dryness by giving your skin a supple glowing look, though I didn't like wearing it to school because it does not look great under the fluorescent lights for some reason.

For blemishes:
•Bobbi brown creamy concealer- very moisturizing and one of my favorites that I have yet to re purchase! It does crease slightly but I found that if I used a silicone based primer that day the creasing really minimized!
•benefit boi-ing concealer- my holy grail since day one! It has a more wax like consistency which allows it to smooth out the skin and has extremely full coverage. This stuff lasts your forever.
•Bourjois healthy mix concealer- I love the entire Healthy mix line it really does make my skin glow! This is better if you layer it lightly as it is really Buildable but can cake if too much is applied at a time! I like to squeeze some onto my clean hand or a pallete and apply in light layers with a damp sponge

One thing I will say though is that I do NOT recommend the glamouflage that everyone raves about. It is cheap and good when you're in a pinch but the consistency is liquid so it seems to sink Right into any lines you have (which when you have dry skin is A LOT) and then settle there. It's just no good, I try and avoid using mine because it honestly makes my skin look like I put crackle nail polish on it.

Megan your swatch on that product looked pretty good :) In all if you know how to apply product it will work out regardless be mindful of the amount you use in conjunction with the area which you apply it. It can be a $1 to a $100 dollar product it really comes down to you and skill. :)

Megan yeah I have! I wanted it to work sooo bad because it's so affordable and it's definitely closer to my house than Sephora! I have tried it in so many different ways. Though my skin is naturally extremely dry, also accompanied with eczema and constant windburn (I'm an avid snowboard/wakeboarder) I've tried it many different ways though I definitely refuse to let the fact that it didn't work undermine my skill, something I know I have, and I don't think anyone should because that's so discouraging. It simply did not work with my skin or fit my preferences! I'm glad it worked for you though 😊😊 the one way I found did work a bit better was with a dampened sponge but it did compromise the pigment, and still did crack by the end of the day!

Trying to be helpful as well, I'm not trying to play fetch and not trying to be discouraging in any way like telling anyone to not buy a product but if you add a few drops of a mixing medium to a concealer you can thin it out to a preference. It's about helping the author have options. We have something's we like or dislike no big deal no one is getting a knowledge award it's all in good fun and helping a sister out, no harm. :)

It's not the worst at all and I'll use it if I have to but I don't think it's for a long day, as over time it just looks worse and worse! I just feel like when you have dryer skin you have all those minuscule cracks and this concealer really separates and sinks into them unfortunately :( and yes, very awesome 😉 but lots of wind burn 😜
