My natural hair is brunette but a week ago I dyed my hair blonde, or mostly blonde and now it looks like I never dyed it. I use John Freida's blonde shampoo but it still looks brown. what happened and how can I fix it?

What did you use to lift the color?

The only reason your hair would revert back to brow is if you had brown hair color in your hair and in the process of bleaching you didn't remove all the hair color molecules. if your hair comes I'm contact with developer or other hair color, those molecules can basically reactivate and go back to brown. it's rare that it would happen though. other then that there is no sound reason as to why your hair would go back to brown. once the color is striped out, it doesn't just fade back to your original color.

Often to get the shade of blonde you're looking for, (I'm assuming you self-dyed) you may need to re-dye it. I had to when I had blonde in my hair.
