I'm not sure if there is a healthy way to do this.

I don't understand why you want to change your skin tone.

I can look more beautiful if my skin is not Dark yellow

Shanghai, that's not the case.
every skin tone is beautiful and you have to suck it up that you have a yellow skintone.
There's nothing wrong with it.

So like anti-tanning/lightning? I know having paler or lighter skin is big thing in Asia, both in the eastern and southern areas, Fair&Lovely is a popular brand in South Asia, also I've heard that Korean BB creams have whitening ingredients. I'm not trying to start any arguments, and I do think we should all love whatever we've got, but I think it's kinda like tanning is in the USA, it'd also cultural, as in the southern areas of Asia being born with lighter skin is a sign of beauty and everyone works up to that standard. I read somewhere (it was in an article about facekinis) that in China and other Asian countries in that area, the general idea is that if you have darker skin you do manual labor and spend time in the sun, but if you have paler skin that means you are wealthy and don't have to work and that's where the idealism comes from.

Sorry for the grammar mistakes, side note: my mom has tried to give me fair and lovely products but I have never used them because I don't see the need and I'm happy the way I am.

I agree with Les (: Why would you want to change your skin tone color? I have yellow undertones which can make my skin appear yellow a lot of the time. Lots of my friends compliment my skin tone! It's nothing to be ashamed of.

I've heard of bleaching your skin. I'm not sure if it works, and I'm pretty sure it's not good for your skin though. I may just have heard of that in a movie. Never mind.

I checked, and it's an actual thing. It can cause scarring and stuff like that. Well, you probably knew that. I guess I wasn't much of a help.

I probably should have put this all together, but YOLO. I use this tinted moisturizer by Neutrogena and the label says like Ivory to Fair. This could help make your skin glow, but I'm not sure about lightening it completely.

You could use a paler foundation if you'd like but then you have to apply it everywhere and that's just too much work imo.

People tan and change their skin color..or straighten, curl, or color their natural hair, so I don't feel wanting a more fair or dark complexion is an issue...but instead perhaps the reason behind it. This sounds to me purely a preference for porcelain skin...which I along with many ladies find beautiful...as I do rich, deep tones..which I can't pull off and just don't feel like myself in. Same with my hair...we have preferences. Doesn't mean I think one is unattractive.
Most ladies here have concealers and color corrector for their yellow tones so I am most surprised by these responses.

I don't dye my hair or wear red lipstick to add color because I hate who I am is what I'm saying.

Absolutely good point Rozberry and I'm also not to keen on some of the things that were said. Raneen's comment have good points as in a cultural thing as well. Let's put ourselves aside and think before answering someone's thread and really try to understand where their coming from. Be more sympathetic shall we and try to help a fellow beauty out but if you don't understand just don't answer it and move on please.

I wasn't trying to judge or anything. I was just trying to warn her about the dangers of bleaching. If she wants lighter skin, that's fine by me, I just don't want her to do something that may hurt her, like bleaching.

I've heard of cleansing skin with a mixture of lemon juice and sugar, I've used it at times to keep my skin fair as I really look atrocious tanned. However, I'd recommend doing it at night to avoid looking shiny in the sunlight and to keep your skin safe from harmful rays after the harsh lemon juice 👍

Emma, no worries on giving warning of bleaching that wasn't the red flag. ;)

@Leigha C. I seem to have heard this, but I haven't tried it. Maybe I should try it.
