I get really bad razor burn on my legs when I shave. I use sensitive razors and body wash but it just seems to be getting worse, any suggestions on how to make it go away?😖

I would make sure you use a moisturizer afterwards. I personally put a mix of oatmeal and water as a paste after I shave. Or if there's certain spots that really hurt I'll put a pinch of ground oats and a bit of water on a paper towel square and then dab it on that spot, and hold it for a few minutes. It really helps. Make sure your body wash isn't harsh, you could even switch to using conditioner if you don't like shaving gels. It helps lube the razor for the smoothest and nicest shave for your skin.

Just to clarify I do the oatmeal thing then put moisturizer on. :)

Be careful with sugar scrubs if you're prone to infections! It can feed the bacteria (like bakers wife's are more prone to yeast infections due to the bakers having it on their clothes, hands etc) and so if you get infected cuts often or skin infections definitely be careful!

Lol Melissa don't feel bad I think we've all done similar! And it's good advice, but like I said just a warning because it's something people don't think about much. But the same sugar that feeds cancer feeds infections so it's something to be cautious about

Make sure to moisturize! Use a non-scented for sensitive skin lotion after - and it works better for me if I wait until my legs are completely dry. I get bad razor burn as well, and if I put on lotion after shaving while my skin is still slightly damp, it makes my legs sting more. Also if you keep your legs moisturized in general, not just when you shave, that will help as well. Try using lotion before bed every night. If you have dry skin, you're skin is more prone to having a reaction from shaving, so keeping moisturized should help. It helps me at least. If this doesn't work, you could always see a doctor! At the very least they could probably recommend a cream to you or something :)

Yes if it doesn't go away with the recommended from above go to the doctor and they'll prescribe you a cream. I had razor burn pretty bad one time, I just went to the doctor applied the cream and it went away pretty quick even the dark marks that the bumps left!

Agreed, better to shave with conditioner. Probably not a good idea to shave with body wash, especially if it is scented. Conditioner is more moisturizing. Also, make sure your razors are sharp.
