Has anybody used castor oil for eyebrow growth? If so how are your results? So far mine have been already showing and it's only been a week but granted my hair grows fairly quickly.

I use it for my lashes and brows to get rid of bald spots :) It works as your hair would, conditioning the hair and nurturing it to health. Honestly I don't think people realize the reason people's brows bald so much is because they don't care for them properly.

Castor oil, nor anything else, will make your brows grow faster. Hair growth (including the hair on your head and brows) is based on genetics and you can't change genetics.

But you can change the STATE your brows are in which is what a lot of people forget when arguing this. People do tend to neglect their brows without a thought and it's never bad to moistuzie them

Brittany, she was asking about growth, which castor oil does nothing for.

Hi Riff, conditioning your hair (any of it) allows it to grow to its full potential. It's not uncommon for people to nurse their eyebrows back to health. After constant sun exposure, the weight of makeup and harsh cleansers it's actually good to condition them to allow them to grow to their FULL POTENTIAL. It's the same with hair, if it is unhealthy and dry, moisturizing and taking proper care of it will allow it to grow faster (than it previously was) because you're allowing it to grow to its potential. It's not too foreign of a concept.

I agree 100% with Alexis. ☺️
I've tried castor oil, coconut oil etc. and it didn't help at all.

Les that could be caused by permanent damage to the hair follicle (hair conditioner wouldn't help a balding man) you should totally look into the Jo Mousselli lash and brow fortifier! It's a non prescription Latisse pretty much!

Brittany, castor oil alone will not transform your brows and even if it does anything at all, it wouldn't be too drastic because oils don't change genetics.

I already have latisse so I wouldn't need to try that, but thank you Brittany.

It will condition them riff in not sure why you're trying to argue. I am not claiming it is a miracle product. I simply stated that people do forget your eyebrows are hair just like the rest of your head and conditioning hair WILL allow it to grow faster than it was previously. That is just how hair works, you need to allow it to grow to its fastest potential.

Ah ok! I love it as an alternative with less side effects. It contains the active ingredients and it's nice for people who live in places where Latisse isn't super easily available

I never said it wouldn't condition them and you stated your assertion as if you were claiming it made dramatic changes so I apologize for the misunderstanding, also I don't want to turn this thread into an argument.

Eyebrows and lashes are far different than the hair on your head. No need to condition eyebrows as they release their own natural oils and they operate on a different growth pattern than the hair on one's head. That's from asking my husband who is a dermo and studied trichology. He has super thick eye brows and he doesn't apply a lick of product to them to maintain them. We all have a right to our opinions so lets play nice ladies. This thread is becoming a battle of words instead of answering the original question and its not fair to Briana.

It's definitely not necessary Shelly! But as someone who constantly works around it I've seen the difference myself in conditioning, not in extreme situations but it is a boost for people who have recently lost some brow hairs. I apologize for the little side tracking haha! I totally get defensive when people directly reply to me instead of answering the question! My apologies

Hair growth is based completely off genetics. that includes your eyelashes and eyebrows. I do think if your eyebrows or eyelashes are drier than oils will help to moisturize and make them healthier, but if your brows and eyelashes are naturally moisturized, this step isn't necessary.
