Layers for thick hair??

I've been thinking about changing up my hair style recently. I don't want to go crazy or anything, but I just want get a new look. I have rather thick dark brown hair that goes about 7 inches past my shoulder. I was contemplating getting layers, but I don't know if it'll look nice or what I should ask the hair salon person?

I love layers :) I'd ask for long layers (shortest starting at your chin), and a v cut personally.

I agree and I think you'd look great with them :) I recently got layers, and it barely took away any length, but made my hair lighter, less tangly and more manageable.

Go for it! And then you can get your hair thinned out too if you don't like how thick it is!

I had my hair layered a long time ago but it kinda irritates me bc I can never braid it. Pieces stick out every where so If you like braiding it then I wouldn't suggest it.
