Well hiya everyone I have currently dyed my hair from black to a lighter brown my hairdresser bleached it and then colour but I really would like the colour I have now to be lighter would it be safe to use box dye considering I only want it one shade lighter.

You would have to bleach your hair some for it to take a lighter color.

Mix baking soda wirh 3% hydrogen peroxide and conditioner and apply. less conditioner,faster it will lighten. you can add more baking soda to thicken and more peroxide to thin out. I have very black black hair so I put it on and wrap my hair with a plastic back and leave it on for 1hr 15min. Wash out with cold water and then conditioner. I then or an overnight mask in with olive oil and avocado oil. Next morning I wash out with a shampoo and conditioner and then apply few drops of avocado and argon oil mixed with a hair serum into my hair to keep it from too much damage. :)

Yes, using a blonde box dye will work. It has lightening agents in it.

I just did it myself last night. I have to do it again though so I can get blonde enough to go pink or blue! Good luck!
