To stop your nails from splitting you should use nail oil.(there are good ones by sally Hansen)

Buy a clear nail polish and get a clove of garlic cut in small pieces let the nail polish sit for like a week and every time your sitting around just put a coat on your nails this helps the nails to grow as well not break they'll will be extremely strong and grow??

I love using argan oil on my nails, it leaves them hydrated and healthy! I've also noticed less splitting, they're much stronger now. I recommend ISA Professional's EVAO (Extra Virgin Argan Oil), it's pure oil (not mixed with other ingredients or chemicals) and I also use it as a face moisturizer and hair treatment. Good luck!
