Since its summer I go the beach/pool almost Every. Single. Day. And when I come home I usually always wash my hair and since I go the beach/pool every day is it okay to wash my hair everyday? I know that washing your hair everyday is bad but since there's chlorine in the pool and salt in the beach I need to wash it everyday should I?

Personally, I go swimming everyday, and I don't wash my hair afterwards, I'll just run conditioner in it (I get obsessive with the conditioner) I put some in before I go in the water, as soon as I get out, then when I shower I'll rinse some through and my hair has been feeling really really great lately!

Try to prevent your hair from getting wet! If you can leave it in a bun and don't get it wet so you don't have to wash it later.

Then to add what I said, I try to go as long as I can with out shampooing my hair, I can usually get to about 3 or 4 days, maybe longer if I don't see anyone, but of course keep up with your skin care and wash your body! (But this is with swimming, I don't have personal experience with going in the ocean daily)

I agree with what Megan said. When I go on holiday and go swimming everyday I always wash my hair with shampoo and especially conditioner to rinse out all chlorine.

Before you go swimming run you hair under tap water! The pores in your hair will absorb the healthy tap water and when you go in the water you'll notice significantly less chlorine in your hair.

I use a sulfate free shampoo with Argan oil. I wash my hair every day. It's super healthy and I've never had problems! I don't necessarily think washing every day is bad-it depends on your hair type, it's needs, and your activity!

A good tip to preserve hair health is to wet your head with clean water before getting into any pool or ocean. This will allow the hair follicles to soak the clean water, which means your hair will absorb less chlorine and salt afterwards. Soak hair with clean water even between getting in and out of the pool/ocean, you will see much less damage.
