I think if the doctor said that you should take it out then that's what you should do. I know you'll have to get it pierced again but that's better than having an infected nose piercing.

Continue cleaning it, it will go away by itself. I personally took my piercing out and got it pierced again but I think your better off waiting for it to go away. :)

That's a pretty big bump, I'd listen to your doctor and take it out

I would take it out... Especially if that's what your doctor said lol.
I had my neck pierced for over a year and it got the same looking lump on one side, and I cleaned it every day for like 4 months and didn't even budge.. So I had to take it out and now I'm left with a lumpy scar.. So if I were you I would take it out. You would be silly to keep it in lol

Go to your piercer and ask what you should do.

Do NOT take it out. This is something doctors get confused with a lot with piercings. If you take it out while its infected, it can trap the infection inside your skin, in the closed hole, and can cause serious issues.
Clean it 4 times a day with sea salt water and don't use any alcohol on it. It'll go away on its own, and if it gets worse you can go to your piercer and they'll have advice, whether to lance it or to just continue to clean it.
Whatever you do, do not use alcohol or Vaseline, do not take it out and do not change your jewelry.

Also, if you just got it 2-3 weeks ago it's likely not healed, and you should still be cleaning it daily because it's still a new wound, that can take 4-12 months to fully heal, depending on the person.

Whenever I wear a hoop, I always seem to get this little lump after a while of wearing it. That's probably why.

Then when I take it out and switch to a stud, it goes away haha. I think it's the way the hoop is positioned in the nose or something.

Always follow the doctor's advice! They're the professionals and they know what they're talking about. Re-piercing it won't be to big of a deal. It's better than having a big dot above it!

No offense but did you go to a reputable place?
That isn't sound advice. You shouldn't be messing with it, you should only move it while cleaning it, and it should be minimal. The more you move and rotate it the more irritated it'll be and the longer it'll take to heal. It's like a broken arm, you only move it when you have to, other than that you leave it alone and let it be while it heals.

I've had my nose pierced for 10 years now and the same thing happened to me just after I got it done. My doctor also told me to take it out, but I just kept cleaning it with rock salt and warm water, 2-3 weeks is nothing, it takes at least 2 months for a piercing to heal. Just keep it very clean and you will be fine! Don't put any make up near it and don't use and face scrub and/or cleanses on it either and you will be fine 😊

Your piercing isn't healed yet.
just keeps cleaning it with salt and warm water, it most likely should go away.
If it's been longer than two months and it's still there I would take it out honestly.

Clean it with anti bacterial soap once in the morning and once at night..that's what I did..your nose isn't fully healed its still kinda fresh so just clean it abd if it doesn't go away I recommend taking it out and if you don't Wanna do that go talk to your piercer

Listen to the doc and take it off and clean everyday, it should take a few days, once it's gone down, you can have your piercing back in. It could get worst, so I'll advise you listen to him :)
