Hi everyone
My hair is jet black as you can all see from my picture
I really want to go light brown or even medium
I don't want to damage my hair
Any products you can recommend?
Thanks

Go to a salon, they will be able to lighten your hair gradually to the color you want without it ending up orange or some other unexpected color!

Well I don't know, depending on how light you want it, probably 2 sittings... I best way to do it would probably getting a lot of highlights.
But I'm not a professional so I would go to a salon and get their take on it!

Hi Jemma, I did this last year, and depending on your hair type it can take anywhere from 2 or more sittings. My hair is colored black but naturally dirty blonde and it took about 4 times to just get it to a dark red/brown. Definitely talk to a stylist. I always do my hair myself, but I didn't want to chance messing up my hair.

It is definitely a process, but some people's hair process bleach faster so it may not take that for you. just depends.

Whenever I for whatever reason go dark (never again- I was just black cherry and went blonde again earlier this week so I could go pink) I end up initially doing a bleach wash to get me two or three levels lighter and then use my desired color- but as stated if you're not experienced definitely go to a professional, a wait is worth not possibly destroying your hair if you're not 100% sure of what you're doing.
