Tips for Rimmel foundation?

So I finally decided to buy the Rimmel stay matte foundation and I plan on trying it out tomorrow (I have an outdoor event for the afternoon and evening)

I already read great review on it, but do you have any tips as far as application or primer or setting it (or not) etc?

Anything I should know before doing ny makeup with it tomorrow? :)

I use a primer, I have used loreal magic perfecting base and maybelline baby skin. I apply a small amount of foundation to the bank of my hand and use a flat top brush to apply it. it's a thicker foundation, so a little goes a long way. I wait a few minutes and then set it with powder.

I ended up using it with the baby skin primer and with my Lancome mattifying powder on the T zone and I really liked it! it stayed well and looked really pretty! I can't wait to try it more :)
