I went thru the same thing you went thru and really I learned to love them and make them a part of my life. I know there's this lotion that my gma uses and it fades burns and scars but let me see her later and I'll ask for you.. she always tells me to use that lotion for my scars but I just learned to love mine and see past thos scars.

Have you tried the bio oil? I heard that that can really help fade scares!

Oh I see... Hmmm my first instinct is to exfoliate regularly to help the renewal of skin but honestly I don't know so definitely don't do it before you research it, I wouldn't want it t get worse!

First off I give you much respect for coming here and posting something so personal. Took serious courage and hopefully someone reading this experiencing the same will breath a sigh of relief as well. From the description you gave it sounds like you might be best suited for a scar revision. Bascially the plastic surgeon will cut out the old scar and either conduct a skin graft or use a tissue substitute of some kind. Surgery is actually on the extreme end of the spectrum but there are lasers, in-office chemical peels and dermabrasion but only a doc will be able to determine the best course of action in regards to your scars based on the depth of the scar and complexity of it overall. Definitely go in with a list of questions for the doc when you are able to see him or her. Keep us posted. xxxx

This is so brave of you to come up here and share that with us I agree with shelley about the doctor questions if the oils and creams doesn't work you can only see with your doctor what's next and I know hoe you feel about those scars I also have them but they are flat and darken than my skin I'm trying to make it disapear but its pretty hard so I hide them with bracelets.

I have the exact same problem, my scars are not flat at all and they're very noticeable. And I can't even cover them because they're on my hand?? I still haven't found anything to help my scars, but while you research a solution, maybe cover them with a heavy duty concealer? It seems like a short-term solution and I might try it too. I'm moving to a new school next year and I don't want to deal with all the questions like "what happened to your hand!" Best of luck!

Have you tried Mederma for scars?

I am covered in scars head to toe (not self harming scars just clumsy dangerous stupid scars, oh and I have two brothers who gav.e me half of them) and mine are white which I think is lucky! Atleast they aren't purple ones I embrace all my scars as they show life experiences wether good or bad :) however ways of making them better I would agree with daily exfoliation for the bumpiness/raised and it might sound stupid but are you tanned? Just wandering because when summer comes and I get a tan you can barely notice mine! You could try using a fake tan and see if that hides them abit? Might be useless info for you but hey

Vitamin e cream will help to heal your scars it will take some time but it's a great natural method. Even if you try a different method keep putting your vitamin e cream also to maintain and help heal those scars. Led light therapy is also great. The number of sessions needed depends on the individual but it's a very very effective method and it promotes healing. The therapist will let you know how many sessions they think you will need by the end of them you will not have any scars or you may just have a tiny amount that is barely noticeable depending on how deep those scars are

But just a side not led light therapy is costly probably $100 per session

But if you get a few sessions they can probably work out a deal package for you to make it cheaper. That's just if you have tried everything and nothing seems to work this will probably be last resort
