I need help on getting a messy bun. I literally need a MESSY bun, not a perfect one, one that looks completely 100% messy and it looks like I put it up in a second. Is there anyway I can achieve this? Tips? I'm avoiding the perfect bun; it has to be so messy.

Have a go at tying your hair into a bun whilst your head is upside down (of that makes sense), then when you stand up straight, use bobby pins to make it messier and pin bits in place, or pull extra pieces of hair out :)

I wore one today and I barley combed my hair and it was super cute

Just flip your head upside down, grab your hair, and twist it into a bun then put a hairtie on it. Don't focus on making it nice. Just throw it up.

When I do my messy bun, I like to finger comb it into a ponytail position, then tie the hairband around it only once, then take about half of your ponytail hair and start twisting it around, and sort of scrunching the other pieces of hair along the way, and when its in a bun shape tie the rest of the hairband on :)

Also tug at it/fix it up and if there's big pieces tuck them into the hairband a bit (unless you like that look)

When I do a messy bun I flip my hair upside down, gather all the hair together then I lift my hair back up and literally just scrunch all the hair into a ball ( not twisting my hair ) then I use bobby pins to secure it and pull the fronts of my hair out (:

I would back comb behind the fringe area and then put it in a pony tail and then back comb the start of the pony and just grab it and put it in a bun that should make it look messy then you can tug at pieces to pull bits out and tug at the front of your hair to make it less tight and it will look messier :)

Tease your hair a bit so the bun is bigger.
