I have the same problems. Coconut oil works for me, it also helps your curls stand out more.

One thing about sulfates is that they are surfactants, meaning they allow the oil in your hair and water to bond together so the oil can wash away. Sulfates are the reason shampoo works, and the reason sulfates are drying is because they wash away all the oils, so really the answer is not to avoid sulfates altogether (as they are a vital part of shampoo), but to shampoo less often and stay away from any hair product besides shampoo that contains sulfates. Your natural oils will condition mostly your roots if you shampoo less often (like every two or three days) but as an assistant I like to use coconut oil in the ends. Beware of coconut oil though, as it takes two washes minimum to get it out of your ends (never put it on your roots or it will be very hard to get out)

I just have this coconut oil hair treatment lying around, and I put it into my drying/damp hair for about 15 minutes. It was a good amount, your hair is going to look gross haha. And then after 15 minutes I washed it out with a really gentle shampoo. I hope that helps :)

No problem :) sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you, but my hair is really soft! It did make my hair kinda greasy, so I would suggest doing it when you aren't going out the next day haha! But it feels so smooth.
