It was too harsh on my sensitive skin. I always have to recommend the Burt's bees peach scrub

In reply to Giana V.'s comment "You should only use plastic beads on your face. Don't use at Ives unless its on rougher skin on your body."
Check out this article from Refinery 29 about the environmental danger of (plastic beads) polyethylene beads in many exfoliating bath wash products. St. Ives apparently contains no polyethylene beads in their exfoliating products, however, I would still study the ingredients before selecting the item.

Depends on your skin type , I have dry skin so I only use it 1-2 times a week ,And rub gently ,not too harsh unless you have very oily skin.

I personally love the apricot scrub but I don't use it everyday because it is a harsh scrub so I usually use 2-3 times a week but it leaves my skin soo soft!(:

It's better to use something with smaller beads! Personally, I use baking soda and water to exfoliate and I LOVE it. 😊

Baking soda mixed with your cleanser to make a paste, every other day. I have really oily skin, so I don't exfoliate everyday.

I use it almost everyday and I haven't noticed any problems. Although I find that I need to switch it up once in a while go give my skin a break from the scrub

I heard they're getting rid of the beads in facial wash and body scrubs :-(

It's not great for the skin because the pits are too rough and actually can create micro-tearing on your skin. Something with glycolic acid can exfoliate without that scrubby feeling by "eating" away dead skin cells.

Laura Mercier Face Polish is an amazing alternative, and the tube lasts forever.

No it's not. Just don't do it everyday. Exfoliating isn't meant to be done daily. So once or twice a week should be ok but for everyday try something more gentle.

I use the green tea st ives scrub. I find it to be less abrasive. But still gives that nice smooth clean feeling. Sometimes I switch it up just use a foaming cleanser

Plastic beads? I thought it was supposed to be crushed apricot seeds no?

Baking soda is a great exfoliant. Adding a bit of clay to facial cleanser will clean deep and soak up excess oil

The 'beads' in the apricot scrub are crushed walnut/apricot cores as far as I know. I use it on my arms & legs too !

To some it might be too irritating I know for me it was and I think it even made my pores bigger. The beds are not completely round and too big I believe I read somewhere you should try something gentler

My hubby swears by it. And he has beautiful olive skin

st ives is one of the worst scrubs you can use on your skin. The apricot kernels are to large so they leave microscopic scratches on the skins surface. Also contains clogging ingredients such as mineral oil and lanolin. Try a less abrasive scrub, like one with oatmeal or corn meal as the mechanical exfoliant. You can also try an enzyme exfoliant like a kiwi and papaya. Kiwi is one of the few scent additives that even a sensitive skin type can handle.

I use this scrub but only on my body. My derm told me that crushed any scrub containing crushed walnuts should never, ever be used on the delicate skin of the face, neck, and chest. I use microdermabrasion (usually a Mary Kay kit that a family friend gifts me because she sells). I do MD once a month or so; the rest of the time I stick to chemical exfoliants (glycolic acid daily and fruit enzyme peels once a week).

I had been using this scrub for a few months with little/no results but I liked how clean it made my skin feel... after reading this I didn't believe it, but I switched to a different cleanser and WOW. I believe its bad for your skin now. My skin has been perfect ever since I STOPPED using it. A little crazy, but I will never use that stuff again.

St. Ives is hard to resist isn't it! Smell yummy and affordable, but it's really not ideal to exfoliant with large beads, try chemical exfoliant instead, I switched to Ren glycolatic and see such a big different, more gentle yet more effective!
