I don't think there's any harm in using that product, infact I've heard it's quite good, it's just a face scrub, it's meant to have thoss beads :)

I use it everyday and I like it a lot. My skin is fairly oily and I need the beads to scrub deeply

You should only use plastic beads on your face. Don't use at Ives unless its on rougher skin on your body.

not for me, i use it twice a day and its the perfect exfoliator, it really leaves my skin.so soft and smooth and never feels harsh. but it really depends on individual skin types! :)

You could use black soap and maybe use the apricot scrub once a week to exfoliate your skin if that's better

I use the green tea one and really like it. Anyone know if that's supposedly bad for your skin too?

I was told by a dermatologist that most people are allergic to apricot and shouldn't use that product because it makes your skin worse

I just know I watched a YT video about a girl whose dad had some skin problem and his dermatologist told him not to use it, and basically stated that most dermatologists hate it. It has sharp bits that make mini cuts and holes in the skin, causing it to get irritated and the holes accumulate bacteria which leads to more breakouts, then you keep using it. I stopped using it on my face and use it for an ankle/foot scrub. It's too abrasive.

I tried using it to get rid of the wintery flakes and I swear it makes my acne worse. Same goes for the milder green tea version. I just use the 30 dollar olay pro-x brush and been better!

It may work for you depending on your skin type/sensitivity. Some people love it, some people hate it.

I have the regular apricot scrub and I like it but I don't use it every day. I got one of the other ones, one for aging, and it does cut my face. I didn't know that was common knowledge, lol, I thought I was going crazy to think my face scrub could cut my face! But it really did. So yeah, not using that anymore...

For exfoliating my face a good one that I use is called 'dermologica' it's a bit pricey but it lasts ages and does help my skin plus it doesn't contain those harsh beads everyone's talking about, it has tiny little grains that dissolve when you wash your face with it, hope that helps :)

I don't think It's bad for you're skin, but if you use it a lot then it might be. It broke me out so I stopped using it.

My friend is an esthitician and she told me to stop using it. She said it might work now but the exfoliant particles can get imbedded in the skin and that if used weekly, I'll be able to see it within a few years. I switched to Giovanni's thermal scrub and I'm in looooooove.

You should only be exfoliating once to twice a week. You need to let your skin have the chance to built up those dead skin cells that exfoliators shed. Using a scrub that isn't completely spherical will deplete your skins natural barrier that protects it. You might not feel or see the effects immediately but you might see signs of aging a lot quicker than you were expecting.

IT'S ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! Because it uses apricot nut pieces, the scrub has too harsh of "beads". The pieces have sharp edges all around and when you use the scrub, it tears microscopic holes in your skin. Although it FEELS good for your skin, it is wayyyy too abrasive and harsh for your skin. You should instead use a light scrub with beads that are smooth all around, OR a light chemical exfoliant. Hope this helps!

I don't know I liked it when I used it I just recently switched to the Simple smoothing facial scrub and I only switched because I wanted something less harsh because the apricot scrub particles kind of hurt parts of my face

And @taylor, the green tea ones are ok because it uses the soft microbeads not the apricot pieces.

Unfortunately it is terrible for your skin. I used to swear by it until I started working at the Body Shop and learned what it does to your skin. I stopped using it and switched to a less abrasive skin care regime. I went back to it months later (as it was all I had!) and it destroyed my skin! Just horrible - plus, as people have mentioned here, you only need to exfoliate once or twice a week!

Wow..i just mentioned this in another thread! I think it realllly depends on the person. i knew a family who all used it and swore by it to keep their skin healthy and glowing and i decided to try it. it feels nice...like you're doing something right for your skin. it was quite tight when i rinsed so i *thought* that was a good sign but in the end it became rough and red and i think made me break out with acne even more than i usually did. i remember not doing it for a while and then starting up randomly and it just about burned my skin. i had to take it off right away. seems too harsh. i'd say stay away!
