First of all you want to wait for it to fully heal before you put anything over it. Product on a open or unhealed wound can increase the risk of infection or slow down the healing process, and I'm sure you don't want that.
Also you should try a camoflauge concealer or foundation. They are a thicker and smoother formula, made especially for scars.
Cover FX and Dermablend are specialized for camoflauge makeup.

You might want to dilute it with water but I don't and it makes no difference for me.
I had some pretty dark spots/scaring irritated skin because I waxed a sensitive part of my face but this method seems to have made a big difference!
Now this is this is the oil I use but they come in all sorts of brands, I hope this helps you as it helps me! Also I recommend going seeking professional help also!
