I bleach extensions to match, and my hair is naturally dark brown so I have to bleach my roots and it always turns out yellow/orange (I can't bleach again because my hair is so damaged). I just toned with t18 but its still not what I want- still yellow and orange tones in my roots. should I try the t14? I just don't want it to turn gray! I'm pretty sure last year when I got this color I did both t18 and t14 and i think i remember that the t14 is what made it this color...but i dont wanna try it unless im sure!

I just recently toned my hair, with BOTH of these toners. I used the T14 on the more orangey parts (because it's a blue-violet base) and the T18 on the more yellow parts (just a violet base)

I'm pretty sure I did something like that last year, although I have no idea how I got the color so even. the ends of my hair are a lot more porous than the roots obviously, so when I tone the ends usually end up looking purple with t18, but my roots are still orange/yellow.

Yeah I would do your roots first and let it sit a little and then do the ends right before you're going to wash it out. That's what I did at least.

The saturation in my photos can make it looks grayish blue hued, but my hair is completely white x

I love t-18. It won't turn gray if you watch it carefully..

Wella T-18 won't do much on any orange hair. It's violet based on so will only cancel out yellow tones, not orange. T-14 is better for anything darker than pale yellow because it is blue-violet based. For T18 to work properly you hair needs to be pale yellow like a banana...the inside part. If you have anything darker like lemon yellow, it may work somewhat. But for anything orange stick to T14 or any of the other blue based toners. I have seen people mix them so that may work also in case you have uneven color which includes pale yellow. lemon yellow and orange.
