I have dandruff and tried a medical shampoo based on reviews which dint help at all and because of the dandruf my skin has tiny flesh coloured bumps all over my face. I am just too annoyed and want to get rid of it asap. please suggest some home hair remedies that have worked for you :(
p.s- I live in a city that is hot and humid.

Well, dandruff begins with a dry scalp. This happens to me every single winter and the only thing I've found to actually help is to do coconut oil hair masks once or twice a week, concentrating on massaging the oil into my scalp. It'll penetrate and moisturize more if you apply to towel dried hair, massage it in really well and then wrap your hair in a towel for as long as you can. You're going to want to use shampoo when you rinse it out though, so your roots don't look super oily.

I live on an island and deal with humidity and heat everyday.
what helped whenever I had a dandruff outbreak was tea tree oil treatments. I did it by adding to my shampoo and massaging my scalp with coconut oil and the tea tree oil. it helped a lot..
