For most of my life, starting at a very young age I have been waxing my brows and lip. To this day it really irritates my face, I get hives immediately after (they usually disappear by the end of the day) and it often causes breakouts. I really do not want to put any of those creams on my face that chemically remove hair (I can't imagine those chemicals are good for your face). If I don't have $ to get it laser removed what else could I do? Any suggestions?

You can get them threaded which is just like tweezing the hairs out with a thread and it's really fast because waxing irritates my skin too. I thread my own upper lip but I would suggest you go to your salon it's not expensive but it does hurt the first few times until you get used to it.

Apart from threading you could try using an astringent soon after you have waxed. Here in India everybody just threads their brows. You could tweeze your brows and shave off your lip or just bleach it if it isn't too thick.

@ Rashi - that's essentially what I do now, use an astringent immediately after and for a few days and it does help a lot. I'm going to try to find a place that does threading! Thanks ladies!! 💗
