So recently I have dyed my hair almost a dark blonde color, I got lots of carmel and blonde highlights and kept some of my dark hair, and Now after about two weeks its getting pretty brassy. I don't want to have to go buy all of these toners and purple shampoos and I have been seeing lots on pinterest. One of the ones is like 2/3 cup vinegar and 1/8 tablespoon purple food coloring. Thats not the exact recipe but its pretty close. Would that work or do any of you have a DIY toner that could work? Thanks so much!!

I'm asking the exact questions you are hahah!, I tried the food colouring one but I don't know if I did it right, so it didnt quite work for me haha and I'm currently trying a strand test using cinnamon and homey so I'm going to see how that turns out. But in the end if you want a toned look buy the toners, I think thats what I'm going to end up doing :/
