Salicylic acid in makeup actually work?

Has anyone seen a difference when using makeup containing salicylic acid? Does it actually help preventing breakouts or helps heal them? Thanks!

I currently use an alnay concealer that contains salicylic acid and to be honest it hasn't really made a difference hope I could help :D

I used Almay's BlemisHeal foundation that had salicyclic acid in it and not only did it not help my acne, it was a crappy product. But I think most almay products are poor quality.

Thanks for you input. I was looking into the Maybelline BB creams. Says it contains it but was unsure on how well it works.

I doubt it.
Salicylic Acid exfoliates the pores, and in order for it to be done succesfully the product needs to use an appropriate PH level which most drugstore products rarely have. Not to mention there are other ingredients used in foundations that most likely may end up just blocking it from even coming into contact with the skin. If you want to help prevent break outs, you can use a BHA lotion instead. They usually work beautifully underneath make up and youre guaranteed that it actually works.
