As we start 2015, I'm thinking very carefully about the make up and beauty choices I want to make this year.
I've already decided I'm going on a low buy this year, creating more of a "curated collection" as opposed to buying all the things like I did in 2014.
I want to use up more of products I have, 18 foundations is obscene. I'm also looking to purchase more from indie brands like Sugarpill, Melt, Lit, etc, and less from Sephora. I want to give Beautylish my money, as they seem to appreciate it, instead of Sephora and Ulta who couldn't seem to give a darn.
My last resolution (so far) is to really establish a skin care routine. I take decent care of my skin with cleansing and a Clarisonic, but I want to implement a mask/Pmd/Opal regiment so that my skin sparkles naturally! ;)
What are your beauty resolutions? Any tips on sticking with mine?

My resolution is to get movie star white teeth lol to take better care of my feet because I don't give myself pedicures enough especially in the winter and lastly being that I give facials all day on other people I wanna take time to get them and massages more often on myself

Those sound like awesome resolutions! Especially the massage bit! I need to incorporate my Glo unit in my routine as well, it's been sorely neglected.

Janelle, I am right there with you! I'm already trying to switch to the Real Techniques sponge from the Beauty Blender, there's no earthly reason to pay that much for a disposable sponge!

Mine are to buy only vegan, cruelty free cosmetics and to use more natural, sustainable and low/no-waste products.

I'm also trying a low buy, since I have a tendency to impulse buy everything I could possibly want and wind up never using.

I love this thread! Some resolutions of mine are

-take better care of my nails/toenails!
-try different hairstyles besides just down and natural
-lastly,lower my spending on makeup! I just recently started wearing some makeup, and bought a good amount of necessities like a great bb cream, eye palette, and lip shades.

Honestly, I think the amount of makeup and money people spend on it is ridiculous! I've seen people on here show hauls or talk about high-end makeup they have, and that's just insane to me. Spending soo much money on little things like makeup is stupid to me! Yes some splurges on nice things sometimes is nice, but I'll never understand people who have tons of high end products and just buy buy buy. 😳

My beauty goals are small and silly kinda.
-learn more about skin and the body
-learn about natural ingredients and natural remedies to beauty concerns
-get whiter teeth
-to not purchase anymore lipstick!

I'm going to try not to buy any makeup until september and use the money I would have spent for a trip to New York in Feb 2016 :)it'll be so tough to stick to it but it'll be worth it!

My beauty resolutions would be

- spend a bit more on quality makeup and skincare products since I have a bad habit of getting something cheaper and then hating the way it feels
- give more attention to my nails.
- work on getting my hair in shape. It feels rough and frizzy I should invest in hair masks
- endorse and use more local beauty and skincare products

Save more money rather than splurging on beauty supplies every weekend.
Use up the products I have before purchasing more.
Find a good skincare regimen and stick with it.
USE MORE SUNSCREEN!
Drink less sweet tea and more water and green tea.
EYE CREAM...MORE EYE CREAM
Invest in a Clarisonic.

Find my own inner beauty, so I won't need material items to make me feel better about myself...

Good Thread!

Mine...
1) Purchase more makeup for my pro kit and start doing MU on others as a professional career :) I actually had my first client on Xmas, It was awesome and a lot easier then I expected:)

2)Since I'm just starting out and will need the invaluable experience/practice of applying MU on clients I want to reach out to some local homeless shelters in my area and do some makeovers on some deserving women, the idea just keeps getting bigger and bigger in my head, I thought it would be even better if I could bring other ppl also in the beauty industry in on my little project (Like nail techs, hairstylist, etc). And we could all work together as a Glam Squad to make some of these women just feel beautiful and good about themselves :) Out of the 2 homeless shelters in my area my project has kinda gotten approved by 1, I have talked to staff who said it sounded like a good idea and the director would most likely approve :) I'm working on the details now, I think a project like this might take a few months to plan though. *If your in the San Diego/CA area and dont mind volunteering your talents and time, please let me know*

3) Keep working on studying Color theory, mixing foundations, and figuring out ppls undertones.

-Mine is to stop buying many cheap products, but instead by one that is of higher end (and would cost the equivalent but better quality) for example instead of 4 cheap and so-so eyeliners that usually end up being unused, so I'd but one good eyeliner that costs the samw as four of them, but not stress about quality. so at the end, I have a smaller makeup collection but also of better quality.
- Use less heat on my hair
- Since I'm going to college this year, bring only the clothes and makeup I will use everyday (so de-cluttering my beauty collections)
