So, doesn't matter the cream gel or foam I use I still end up with bad razor burn! All over everywhere. I use the Venus sensitive and I've used Gillette sensitive, eos cream, a couple other brands of foam (can't recall) and a males shave gel from arbonne. The arbonne was amazing but it's only sold at Christmas :( please help!! I was fine until I waxed a couple years ago, I kept up with the wax a while but then she got busy finishing up her house and then moving in then was pregnant and now has a new baby, anyway ever since I can't see to shave without razor burn :( please help. I've been shaving for a year and a half two years now since waxing so my skin should be fine now right?! Please help! Torn up chicken skin that looks like I shaved with a cheese grater is NOT sexy!! Please help!

I use a product called bikini zone. You can usually find it is the same aisle as the razors and shaving cream. its awesome!

Sorry I should have added...you apply it after shaving and it soothes and prevents razor bumps.

Find a pure romance consultant or order online: Coochy Cream. Don't be put off the name, IT IS AMAZING. I use it as a shaving cream but it can be used as an aftershave (and hair conditioner!). Bonus points for smelling incredible.

A couple things you can do to help reduce razor burn - you can exfoliate the area before you shave (I like using a sugar scrub because it's gentle and melts at body temp) - then make sure you use a sharp razor - dull razors tug at the skin and irritate it further - then after you shave you can use the nair bikini zone gel - or any after shave gel should work - but basically you need to make sure and keep the skin well moisturized after you shave to help the skin be less irritated after the fact - do all these things and it should help reduce razor burn by a lot.

Awe I do all these things. I exfoliate really well before with a sugar scrub, then I shave with a new razor, and then I moisturize like mad after :( what are some razor recommendations? I've always used Venus sensitive ever since I started shaving years upon years ago :( I've tried a couple like that soliel ones, that one with the shave bar around the razor, and a couple others...

How many blades are on the razor? I find that the more blades on the head and that the blade spacing is really close together gives less irtitation. I like to use men's gillette, with 5 razors.

I use my mans razors, I feel they are always shaper. The gillete one is good.

Mens razor are freaking amazing. I use Gillette fusion. also always shave with a new razor and shave with the direction of the hair growth. shaving against the grain causes irritation. for a shave gel check out Aveeno shave gel. it's good to soak the skin in luke warm water to loosen the hair and wash off in cold water. after shaving apply a good cream I really like Aveeno lotion for extremely dry skin. for the bikini area put bikini zone cream and then a moisturizer over top after. you can even try 100% pure aloe Vera gel on it to cool it down.

Agreed with the blades on the razor I find the women's five blade razors work best for me... I don't even use shaving cream just plain old hair conditioner... razors I recommend are the shick (sp) hydro for women or the Venus... if I use anything less then five blade I get really bad razor burn and painful pimples especially under my arms where the clothes are rubbing the most.

Gillette fusion is the one I use too. By far, the best out of the razors I have tried!

My razors always have 4-5 blades and are close together. I'll try a men's razor. I can't steal any of my husbands as he doesn't shave. Thanks ladies. This never was a problem but this past year/2 years has been painfully brutal!
