I want to take out the now auburn mid brown color to reveal my natural dark brown (& some grey)! but this box remover says to color over with a shade lighter then my natural tone?? then use the remover to achieve my results!? confusing!
who has used this Colour B4 Remover
? and who has followed the instructions and not. sharing your experience will possibly help me out thanks inadvance!! x

If it's a semi permanent color you used to color it, you can try and mix equal part baking soda and shampoo and then wash your hair in that. I tried it twice, first time I did it the day after I put in a color that came out to dark and it lifted the color a bit. Second time I used it to strip some purple from my ends that had been there for a while and it didn't do much.

So I don't know if it will work for you, but you could try it! Just use a VERY good moisturiser mask on your hair after, cos it gets dry!!

Color remover will not take you to your natural color. nothing will, that would be magic. think of color remover as bleach. it is literally going to remove the color from your hair...including your natural color. your best bet is to go to salon, tell them you want to go back to your natural and they will probably color your hair as close to your natural asbpossible, allowing you to gracefully grow that color out with out having to worry about roots.

BOX COLOR IS SO BAD FOR YOUR HAIR LOVE. I'm in cosmetology school for paul mitchell please go to a salon to fix your problem

I agree with Kelly. You could probably strip it with "color oops" and then dye it a color that you think is closest to your color. I've been box dying my hair since the age of 10, I'm fine and my hair is healthy. You have to strip the color and then dye it and let it all grow out.

Kadey, it is rare that box color will react with salon color and effect the out come. any good colorist should know how to work with box colored hair, and adjust formulas to compensate for it. Tinas situation does not sound like a major color correction, it sounds fairly easy to correct in a salon. on her own would be a different story though.

Lol it doesn't sound like a very hard fix in my opinion, salon wise or home wise, I could literally fix it in the blink of an eye. But if you have no experience with doing stuff on your own, this isn't something to start off with.

I have beeb home dyeing my hair for over 12 years. but I don't want any color but my own now I thought B4 would take me bck to my natural dark brown I have realized that it is only good for lightning! and some even get gingery tones to their locks,I am cautious of the unknown! it seems easy enough right shanae. I get how any hair color will damage hair. I wanna take that box back to the shop get my money back & let it grow out for now :^)

Lol I don't even know what before is, that's why I suggested color oops, also because of personal experience.
