So I'm currently using UD's Naked Skin foundation in 0.5, and I love it, but it just doesn't stay on my face for as long as I need it to (10+ hours). I grabbed a sample of the Estée Lauder Double Wear in the lightest shade the other day (I think it's 1c1 or something like that) and I really love the staying power, but it's just not pale enough even when I use a pale concealer to try and balance it out.
So, my question is, what's a foundation with great staying power that has super pale shades? I generally prefer natural to semi-matte finish and my skin is combo (I get oily on my chin and cheeks but also get really bad flaky dry spots in other places). Any recommendations??
Also I've heard of people lightening foundations with a white foundation/base? Is there any recommendations on one that wouldn't compromise the staying power of the Double Wear? Thanks so much!!

Do you use a face primer?

I use the Hourglass Mineral Veil primer (I've used it a million different ways too, from using a barely any to a whole bunch to applying it differently, etc.) I've also used the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer which I don't like near as much.
And no I haven't, I'll look into it! It honestly might be too pink, which is a problem I have with a lot of pale foundations. It's either too dark or super pink!! I hate my skin tone because fair skin tends to be pink/cool, and I'm more neutral although I do pull more cool than warm. I think it's because my natural red headedness throws things out of wack since it's warm toned but my skins so fair. :/ I'll definitely check it out though!

Illamasqua carries a white foundation. What do you set your foundation with?

The Makeup Forever HD Translucent Powder (and I'm careful to not use too much and just dust it on...could it be that I'm not using enough?

They have a variety of shades, they should have your color. As for staying power it depends on the one you get, I am obsessed with the 24 hour teint idole it stays in place the whole day ( I mean the whole day) it's full coverage

Atomic Cosmetics will do custom foundations for your skin color. Not sure of cost or procedure, but that might be a way to go.
