From my experience, the same products or cosmetics that sell at ulta and sephora are priced the exact same. it's a fixed price from the original manufacturer because even macys, who also sells many brands available at sephora and ulta at certain locations, has the same prices.

The manudacturer gives a price to sell at but I believe there is also room for markup, but I'm pretty sure it can only go to a certian price. I only know this from oil field supply stores. When my husband would call and order fittings for example, they would sell them to him for a certian price, they would then put them into inventory with a 10% markup so the store would intern make money. But the markup was to there discretion I believe its anywhere from 5%-15%... But again my knowledge isnt from cosmetics haha just oil feild junk haha.

Are you maybe looking at a Canadian site and and American site? I know the Canadian dollar is way way less than the us dollar so the Canadian price would be more.
