(Also if anyone has any cute outfit ideas that would be helpful) but I would like to look more Bohemianism. (Sorry if that term offends anyone I'm not sure how else to say it) How should I do my hair and makeup? I like having light makeup. But my hair is always in the same straight style.
Also if this is in the wrong category I apologize.

Wavy with small braids! You can also braid over night to get the waves. Something like this?

You could do your hair in braids when damp and then you'd have sort of crimped hair, or do beachy waves ( a million tutorials on this, but the basics are salt spray, dry hair, make loose curls with wide curling iron, comb out with wide tooth comb).
For makeup: stick with minimal eyeshadow, maybe a little liner, and contour with nude lip.
For clothes check out the Free People website for inspiration. I always think of big hoop earrings, off the shoulder blouses and long skirts or flowey dresses with boots as boho.

For hippie style you have a bit more lattitude with makeup I think, adding in crazy color points on your face or twiggy eye makeup.

Basically just loose, wavy hair, maybe with a few braids. For makeup I'd keep it minimal and simple, but still soft and pretty :)

I love the bohemian style! It's very laid back and somewhat beachy,
For makeup it's kept very minimalistic, nude and gold eyeshadows, glowing dewy skin, nice brows and long eyelashes. Hair usually consists of braids, add small braids to your hair for a new look like Bekah suggested, or try headband braids like this! I'll see if I can get some outfit inspiration:)

Vanessa hudgens is the bohemian queen! if you look at some photos of her & everyone else at coachella, you'll get some pretty good inspiration:)

My town is known for being a hotbed of hippie culture (Santa Cruz, CA). The only people I see wearing the stuff in this thread are college kids, and the locals consider them "hipster" not hippie. Here's a crash course in all things truly hippie, as seen on ~60% of the population here. A lot sounds clich?, but that is because the stereotypical hippie is based on the real hippies, who still partake in those familiar trends.

The hippies are all about bright colors, natural fabrics, beads (beads everywhere: clothes, jewelry, hair...), dreadlocks, and no makeup. Many of them don't shave or groom their brows in any way. Birkenstocks are the sandal of choice, with Sanuks as the popular closed shoe. Lots of yoga garments, gaucho pants, peasant and hankie-hem skirts, leggings, scarves, multiple layers of clothing (tee shirt, tank top, hoodie, leggings, skirt, socks, Birkies, multiple pieces of jewelry). Handmade jewelry is common (wire-wrap gemstones/crystals, leather cords and beads, puca shells, feathers, etc). Hair is unkempt. Dreads are most popular, followed by simple ponytail or short/shaved. Braids aren't common and I can guarantee that none of them are using any hot tools.

I think the most noticeable thing about them (after the strange clothing) is the smell. Deodorant is shunned in favor of oils and lotions, typically made of herbal ingredients. Patchouli, sandalwood, and hemp are the scents of choice, followed by citrus smells and florals (lemongrass, vanilla, rose). That, and the omnipresent thirdhand stench of a different "herb", which lingers on clothes pretty heavily.

Hippie is more of a lifestyle than a fashion choice. They are overwhelmingly organic, local, sustainable, free spirited, spiritual, "natural", low impact, etc. I'm not sure if that's the kind of thing you were asking about, but just thought I'd throw that out there. This "bohemian" look that is popular with the younger crowd is a watered-down version of the flower children of the 1960s and 1970s.

Plain makeup and plain strait hair sound support bohemian to me... just add a colorful headband and a flowing dress and there you are.
