I have pretty normal skin, a little bit of dryness and dehydration this winter but I have a great skincare routine and have maintained it very well to the point that my skin is mainly normal and usually don't have an issue with a foundation not working with my skin. SO, anyways I've used many foundations, mainly highend, and am currently using Estee lauder double wear but always want to try something new.
*I'm looking for a med to full coverage foundation. I don't have acne ever but have redness that drives me crazy and I just like a full coverage look. I am interested in something with a more dewy luminous finish. I have yet to find one. Any suggestions would be awesome for a long wearing full coverage dewy foundation!
* Also, I just commented on a post about my UD Optical Blurring brush and realized it's the best brush I have tried so far that gives a great coverage and makes my skin look flawless, but as I stated mine does have a minor shedding problem & I'd like to branch out and try new ones. So any recommendations on a brush for foundation application? I do have a few beauty blenders & love them but like a brush sometimes instead.

Thanks for any answers!

I have very dry skin, and I looooove the makeup forever HD foundation, I think out of all of mine that fits your description the best. I also enjoy the Kat Von d lock it but it's not dewy:(

Dior Star foundation isn't a full coverage but its on the medium side. Gives a nice luminous look to the skin...nothing mask like. As far as wear time...as long as I set it with powder then I'm good and get about 8 hours of wear time. You mentioned the redness...I would definitely get a sample of this before going full-size. Well getting samples of any foundation you're interested in for that matter. Another one is the Laura Mercier Flawless Finish Fluide foundation. I wouldn't say its dewy but it definitely gives you the appearance of your skin but better finish. Medium to buildable full-coverage. A little goes a long way with that one but is best applied with fingers due to the watery formula.

Have you tried the perfectionist foundation by Estée Lauder? Maybe try getting a sample? It's not semi matte like the double wear

Great suggestions ladies! I haven't tried any of them surprisingly. Shelley I've thought about dior star and Laura Mercier actually. Gisell I'll definitely try that as well because I love double wear just looking for something new. Brittany, I've been very close to trying mufe hd before so now I know it's a good idea. I have tried the lock it but I didn't like the finish and it seemed too cakey to me. Thank you though!

Do you ladies have any recommendations on products to achieve that dewy look I can use with my foundations I currently own and love (except for the finish)? I am definitely looking to buy a few more now that I have some suggestions because before I just couldn't decide but days I use up what I have now I'd love to know what I can do to make it look more dewy! thanks again

I really really really love my Becca skin perfecter in color opal, there's a liquid & powder form, the liquid gives a nice natural glow & the powder has a little bit more shimmer but is just as gorgeous!

A little Argan oil patted lightly on the cheeks looks lovely. Mac has a pearl cream you can mix with any foundation or apply afterward. It's called "Strobe Cream".

Hi Sarah---How about the new foundation from NARS? it called, the "All day luminous foundation", great for all skin type and its med-full coverage, feels like second skin---feels like you have nothing on. The finish is "illuminating/luminous", so not dewy to matte, but in the middle with brightening….for me, it looks like skin, but brighter, better---you can always pick up free samples of it at Nordstrom and Sephora…
-as for the brush, have you seen the shiseido perfect foundation brush? its pretty small but the brush is dense, you can use it in a stippling motion, it looks flawless…Tarte also has a great airbrush kabuki bamboo---its usually for powder but I use it for foundation since its so soft and dense that the application is even, never streaky!
hope this helps! good luck with your quest to find the perfect foundation and applicator.
