I had brown hair, I used color oops to get it out last night.. And I figured it'd leave me with a orange/yellow brassy tone. This is what it gave me. But I still plan on going lighter. The problem is, should I tone then color? Or color then tone? What toner should I use? Ignore my messy hair, I just woke up. These photos are in natural light.

You should color and then tone.

Does developer bleach your hair then? Because my natural hair color is a very dark blonde. First time I colored it blonde with box dye and 20 or 30 developer and it came out very light. Like level 9 light. The color I was going for.

So.. To achieve this I used 20 developer with ion color brilliance level 9 very light cool blonde. :) my roots are still a little yellow.. But DEFF not as much. I'm planning on getting purple shampoo from sally's tomorrow! But overall I'm happy. It looks exactly like it used to when I was blonde before. It is lighter in person than in the photo. :) I'm so happy.

(Plus my hair isn't fully dried) I would say it is a level 9 blonde now. Especially in person. It's very light.
