Help! I have these really really small blackheads next to my nose. They're not really noticeable but I want to get rid of them.
Any tips? I've never had them before.

They sound like sebaceous filaments to me, I have them too and they're normal but the only thing you can really do about them is keep them clean. Salicylic acid helps minimize their appearance :)

Sebaceous filaments are usually white or yellow in color. If what you are seeing is black...you indeed have blackheads. @Sydney...since you have sebaceous filaments those suckers will diminish as you get older when the glands start producing less sebum.
@Mabelle to rid yourself of the blackheads...a cleanser containing benzoyl peroxide which will help break apart the gunk that has imbedded itself in the pores. if you have dry or sensitive skin another alternative to that cleanser is one containing salicylic acid. It will also assist in preventing future blackheads as well. Then spot treat with a treatment cream containing salicylic acid. Also using a clay based mask once a week to help pull those blackheads to the surface will also help as well. Scrubbing them away with harsh facial products will do more damage than good so I do not suggest using facial scrubs. I use to have a big problem with blackheads and what worked for me was infusing weekly clay masks into my skincare program and AHA/BHA serums three times a week.

Shelly, Thank you so much :) I'm definitely going to begin using the salicylic acid cleanser which I own. I really hope that it works. Any recommendations for a clay based mask? :) xx

You are welcome Mabelle. I use Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Mask mixed with organic apple cider vinegar. In your situation I advise only using that as a spot treatment once a week in the affected area. And then apply a light non-active moisturizer once you remove it because the mask sucks EVERYTHING out of the skin (even moisture). An affordable moisturizer...Simple Ultra-Light Gel Moisturizer.

I always just use an extractor tool to get them out

I saw a blackhead remover on wish. I haven't tried it but it has really good reviews. It's also only $4.
