Lately I've been noticing that around my nose and cheek area I've been getting more & more blackheads. I've tried using the biore strips and those didn't seem to do the trick for me. Do any of you ladies have any ideas on how to get rid of blackheads?

Exfoliate them with a scrub and then apply a black head cream over it.

Blackhead exfoliators (the Walmart brand one works surprisingly well), Origins Active Charcoal Mask, and Freeman Cucumber Peel Off Mask have all helped me with my blackheads! I'd also suggest getting an extractor tool for the stubborn ones, I got one from Avon (:

A chemical exfoliant will actually dig deep in the pores to clear out blackheads so like an AHA or BHA exfoliant - the exfoliants with beads or some other harsh texture are only exfoliating the surface of the skin to wash away dead skin cells and don't work as well as a chemical exfoliant for black heads - another method you can try if your skin is too sensitive for exfoliants is the OCM I've found this method works really well to suck out all the oil n dirt stuck in my pores that normal cleansers can't do - but it's not for everyone and the oils you choose for this method can sometimes clog your pores so be careful what oils you choose - my mix has jojoba, castor and tea tree oil and the dior cleansing oil for emollients.

Sorry it's the oil cleansing method - where you mix oils together in a bottle or in the palm of your hand and apply it to your face to get rid of all the dirt and oil on your face - then afterwards you use a steaming process to remove the oil - either with a steamer or a hot wash cloth you press on your face several times then wipe off the excess oils - there are some YouTube videos that explain it too - and some websites that explain which oils work best for which skin types.

@Liz use an aspirin mask if you are not allergic to aspirin and Soap and Glory's Scrub your nose in it. both will help you get rid of blackheads completely and help minimize the appearance of pores :-)
