It looks fine (:
although once you get it pierced you start off with a stud then 2-3 months after you change it to a ring (:

Well once it heals you change it lol but it usually takes 2-3 months

If you ask them they can pierce it with a hoop! I got mine pierced with a stud and it got a huge lump for months.. And I'm OCD about taking care of my piercings and tattoos. So I took it out because it looked gross. I got the other side pierced with a hoop and I've had it for about a year now and I've had no problems at all. I love it! You just have to special request they pierce it with a hoop.

Piercings aren't permanent, which is the joy of it in my opinion. Nose piercings in my experience close very quick if you decide you no longer want one. But everyone's not the same!

Nose piercings don't leave a noticeable scar at all

I think it would suit you well! Though from personal experience, I'd say get it pierced and ask for a hoop. I've had my nose pierced twice and it healed SO much faster with a hoop. It's just easier to clean, and less likely to snag on anything.

I do agree with renay but then again it does depend what size nose piercing you get
or if you go bigger
if you get a 20g it won't be noticeable but my sister had hers bigger and it left a little scar
& she took it out like 3-4 years ago :P

Also a good point, depends on the gauge and the person lol

You can get it pierced with a hoop, I had mine pierced with a hoop. The gauge was a little thicker than I wanted but I got it changed out 6 months later to a smaller gauge hoop, and it's fine!! Go for it :)

For the love of God, please do not get pierced with a hoop. I made that mistake, and now I don't have anything in. ): But it looks good on you! I say go for it.

Alli what happened to your piercing?

I was originally pierced with a 14g horseshoe, which should have never happened but whatever. I didn't know any better at the time, and just let the girl do her thing. Long story short, one of the balls fell off, so I replaced it with a 18g regular nose hoop. Before I switched it, I noticed a small bump near the hole which I thought nothing of, so I used tea tree oil and ignored it. The little shit grew to the point where it was literally touching the other side of my nostril, so I had it checked out by another girl at one of the most reputable studios in the area, and she told me the original hoop did so much damage, and that I would have to remove the ring and let it heal, or it would stay there permanently. Obviously I took it out, and I just haven't had it redone yet. I know not everyone will have the same experience as me, I'm just saying, you're better off being safe and just get pierced with a stud to start.

What Alli said. Don't ever start with a hoop, any reputable piercer will say no to it anyway. It actually causes the piercing to heal in an incorrect manner and makes it harder if you ever wanted to wear a stud instead of the said hoop. Just get it done with the standard bar/stud and change it when you can.

Oh my I would be so so upset!
I just got mine pierced with a 20g about three weeks ago with a L shaped nose stud and it is still pretty sore on the inside but it doesn't hurt, I really want to change it to a hoop but I'm kind of scared to do so. (I'm very impatient)

My uncle is a piercer along with several other people in my family and people I know who work at shops like truth and triumph which was actually on television and is famous, and he will pierce with a hoop. It all depends on the piercer but I wouldn't say if you pierce it with a hoop you aren't reputable. I had mine done with a stud first and I ended up with a huge gross bubble on my nose that was disgusting. I obviously took it out and got the other side pierced with a hoop and I've never had a problem with it. Different people heal differently plus the environment you're getting pierced in is big. Obviously take care of it and you should be fine. But your body can reject the piercing whether it's a stud or a hoop. Only thing about studs are for me make sure they pierce it with a long stud so it allows room for swelling.

I go to the biggest most reputable piercing in Australia Brisbane for all my piercings, which is also of very high quality, I've had 25+ piercings personally and each and every time I've had one I've asked multiple questions, I was actually going to do a body piercing course there also. It's normal to get the nose bump with studs, I too have had that and had to remove the jewellery but if you ever have intentions of wearing a stud or having to wear a stud for work, getting it pierced with a stud is the way to go. Kudos to you that you got it pierced with a hoop and had no problems, however this to me isn't the right way to do it.

I think it suits anyone to be honest. The only thing is you have to wait for the full healing process to be over before getting a hoop. I just got one In November and I have to wait until May to switch out my stud. Hoops with fresh piercings can cause keloids
