Mac highlighter looks grey!!

What's wrong with my Mac prep and prime concealer? It looks so greyish! Even the prolong concealer has the same effect? Does anyone else have this same problem? Also it looks kinda cakey.

Usually if you use a shade way lighter than your skin tone, it can appear grey/ashy

It also can accentuate what you're trying to hide rather than conceal it

You seem to have a warm undertone, therefore warm coloured highlighters would of worked better!

Remember that Mac uses NW for pink tones and NC for yellow tones! I know it's confusing :/

Are you applying the product alone under your eyes? Color correcting would cancel out that darkness, then you'd apply a concealer your color ( not lighter ) on top. Usually, if you apply a lighter concealer you bring forward features so you end up accentuating those under eye circles. ( Light brings forward, dark recedes. )
