Should you use a face mist? Why or why not? (I'm not really educated on face mist so I don't really know what it does) is it worth it?

I had the urban decay de-slick mist (I have extremely oily skin), and all it did was break up my foundation and make my face oily faster. But I didn't try anymore after that, so that was my only experience!

Do you mean a setting spray? A setting spray is good to have, as it can prolong your makeup wear so it stays throughout the day. It isn't necessary, but I like them (there's a mini Urban Decay bottle for $14 I think and there's a NYX and E.L.F. one for $5-$6 each if you're looking to buy one. I would recommend the NYX if you don't want to spend a lot.)

No. A face mist and setting spray are different things.

A face mist is a moisturizer while a setting spray sets your makeup :)

I use the Dermalogica one every day and it seems to refresh my makeup and give a bit of moisture. I also use the Mario Badescu one after I apply my makeup in the am. I really like them both.

If you mean setting sprays, if you have dry skin they work great. They also take whatever powder edge you may have from make up.
If you meant as just a general refresher, I use one! I make my own, however it's for more medical reasons than it is for just feeling nice.

They're so refreshing! Nice if you work in hot conditions at work and the air conditioner isn't the best, haha.

I've never used one but I don't think they would do much moisture wise, so don't use it in place of your face cream.
And things like the Evian mist won't do anything but give a refreshing feeling, it's literally just water in a can. The ingredients don't list anything else

I've used the Mario Badescu facial spray. I use it about mid day and just feels really refreshing and smells amazing (:

I have the Evian face mist & only use it during traveling on longer flights. my skin is rather oily & it doesn't do much for me but add that greasy (vs dewy) look, but perfect for flight situations when the recycled air dries out your skin.

Its not a requirement but its definitely worthy to have if you like to soften the finish of your face products after application (especially if you're a big user of full-coverage foundation combined with powder to set it). Myself personally I've been playing with both setting sprays and face mists. And as one beauty mentioned the two are completely different.
