So I have extremely dry skin and eczema (which causes redness also) and whenever I do my makeup, I put loads of lotion on and primer but my foundation and concealer still go on cakey/dry/flaky!! PLEASE if you have any tips for eczema or dry skin, SHARE!

The picture is hard to tell but it is dry and uneven-looking.

Check out this bb cream. It's made for dry red skin. It doesn't get completely rid of the red but it's supposed to maintain it, like cool it down a bit. Do some research on it before you buy it to see if it's something you'd want to pay $7.99 for!

Maybe try an oil? I love argon oil for my dry skin. I also heard that jojoba oil is great. For makeup try a hydrating primer like the loreal lumi primer. And use a foundation meant for dry skin. I love maybelline fit me dewy and Loreal true match lumi

I suffer from eczema as well and I hate it. I swear no lotions ever really make it go away however my prescription cream does wonders so maybw try getting something from your doctor. at Sephora one of the sales people told me she had a customer with extremely bad eczema and he used Josie Maran argan oil and it totally cleared up the eczema. plus it's safe to use on your face

Cetaphil. It's the consistency of shortening but it helps my dry skin so much. I live in Utah so the dry air is brutal---Cetaphil is a lifesaver. My dad actually suggested it.

I use cetaphil occasionally- I switch back and forth and try new lotions. I ended up getting a First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. I've only used it once and my skin is noticeably less dry (and way softer). I also got the L'Oreal green BB cream! Thanks so much ladies!

I was having the exact same problem! No matter what I did or what moisturizer or primer I used my skin would take any of the water in my foundation and it'd turn so patchy and flakey. I recently invested in a aha chemical exfoliant from Paula's choice (8% gel I believe) and the first time I tried it, it slightly tingled and burned ( nothing too serious but it was noticeable) and when I looked in the mirror a few minutes later there was dry skin literally falling off my face and a couple days later I tried applying make up again and there was no flakiness or patchiness or anything. I'd highly recommend it

I know how you feel! I have the same problem. I've been using the Tarte Maracuja oil and it has helped a lot!
