I'm looking for a good foundation primer is going to smooth out my skin and keep my makeup lasting a good amount of time. I have combo skin but a bit more on the dry side. All of the primers I've used lately seem to break up my foundation around my nose area. Anyone have any good suggestions :)?

There's actually a thread further below yours about the Monistat chafing gel, and It makes a really good primer. It has the same ingredients as the Mac primer for way less money out of your pocket, I've tried it personally and it makes my foundation last! However I do put it in a different container so when people come over they don't wonder why I'm using chafing gel lol!

I agree with Les, the l'oreal miracle blur worked great for my sibling who has the same skin type as you. I hoped I helped doll 💜

I've tried the smashbox photo finish primers, the porefessional, bare minerals primer. I'm thinking my skin just doesn't work well with silicone based primers. Has anyone tried any primers without silicone?

Hmm I believe these two have silicone but they're not the same consistency as the smashbox ones, they're much thinner and not as goopy. Lorac mattifying porefection primer & NYX Photo loving primer

I'm really loving the new primers that Maybelline came out with...they're called Master Prime, and if I remember correctly, they're water-based.

I love the Hourglass mineral veil primer. it does such a great job at keeping my foundation stay put. it helps my foundation glide on like a dream. I think you should definitely get a sample and try it out.
